Key Returns: Renuka Singh and Amanjot Kaur

The squad sees the return of pace spearhead Renuka Singh Thakur and all-rounder Amanjot Kaur, both of whom have recovered from injuries to reclaim their spots. Their inclusion adds vital depth to India’s bowling and middle-order balance ahead of the high-stakes tournament.

Strong Balance of Youth and Experience

The squad features a blend of seasoned campaigners and rising stars, with the likes of Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Radha Yadav forming the core. Youngsters like Pratika Rawal, Kranti Goud, and Shree Charani bring fresh energy and promise to the setup.

With two frontline wicketkeepers, Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh, India’s middle order is expected to maintain stability while offering flexibility in team combinations.

Road to the World Cup

The ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 marks a crucial opportunity for the Women in Blue to claim their maiden world title on home soil. After a series of strong performances in bilateral series and the Women’s Premier League (WPL), expectations are high for the squad to deliver in front of home fans.

India will begin their campaign against Sri Lanka in Bangalore before taking on other heavyweights, including arch-rivals Pakistan and Australia, England, and South Africa in the group stages.
