By winning the Cincinnati title Świątek is promoted to no.2 in WTA rankings.

Iga Świątek triumphs at the Cincinnati Masters 1000 title, dominating Jasmine Paolini 7-5, 6-4. The Polish player served eight aces in the game, which gave her an upper hand to win the Final. Winning two major titles back-to-back shows how Iga is running in an hot form.
Despite having seven double faults, the 24-year-old’s serve still looked unstoppable with her pace. She won all the break points in contrast to Paolini winning only four. In addition, Świątek outmanoeuvred Jasmine by claiming 43 service points that led her to higher game points.
Iga appreciates her coach Wim Fissette to tennis.com, “When I started working with Wim, I didn’t believe that I can serve 185 [kilometers per hour] and 180 consistently. So I think he helped me with reaching this higher speed…I just kind of needed to believe it.”
She further added, “I couldn’t even toss well,” she told Tennis Channel with a laugh. “It was a love-hate relationship [with her serve] today.”
“At the end,” she finally had to allow, “the serve helped me.”
Newly promoted WTA-ranked number 2 will aim to regain her number 1 spot from Aryna Sabalenka at the US Open. Also, looked forward to add another Grand Slam title in her shelf.
